Campfire Chicken Sopas

On cold camping days, there is nothing like having a bowl of Chicken Sopas while sitting by a campfire in the evening. This Campfire Chicken Sopas is quick and simple for any family to cook on a camping trip. You can either use a butane stove or simply put the pot on a campfire as most of the steps will just require you to boil your ingredients.

Ingredients
- ½ Kg Chicken Breast
- 3 pcs carrots diced
- ½ pc cabbage shredded
- 4 cloves garlic diced
- 1 onion diced
- 154ml can Alpine Evaporated milk
- 125 ml carton of all-purpose creme
- 1 cube Knorr Chicken Cubes
- 200 grams elbow macaroni/spaghetti
- 8 cups of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil
Instructions
- On a cooking pot, boil the chicken breast in approx. 3-4 cups of water for 10 mins.
- Remove chicken from the boil but don’t throw away the water as this is now chicken stock
- Let chicken cool down and shred
- On a cooking pot, heat 3 tbsp of cooking oil and saute the garlic until brown
- Add the onion and carrots; saute for another 2 mins
- Add the shredded chicken and cook for 1 minute
- Add the water that was used to boil the chicken
- Drop a cube of Knorr Chicken Cube; stir and boil for 3 mins
- Put the elbow macaroni and/or spaghetti and boil for around 10 mins or until pasta is cooked
- Add the cabbage
- Pour the evaporated milk and half of the all-purpose cream and let it boil for around 2 mins
- Add salt and pepper to taste
